Sarah Barr

Writer, poet and teacher

The sun is shining and daffodils and hyacinths are bringing colour to the garden so maybe spring is here, albeit a freezing one!

I’m feeling cheerful because the sky is blue but also because one of my short stories is in Woman’s Weekly Fiction Special and they’ve given it a gorgeous illustration! See ‘A Taste of Honey’ in the April edition.

I can’t wait to see your story Sarah. Now I need to track down a copy of the magazine.
It’s lovely to see the gardens finally waking up, and I so enjoy the spring sky. I think I’ve missed that more than anything this year and now I can see blue sky and fluffy clouds I know that the better weather is finally making an appearance.

    • Thank you, Penny. I hope you enjoy reading my summery story. We’ve all got so used to wintry weather, it’s going to be a shock when the earth warms up. I am thrilled that two of our writing group have done so well in the Gullivers Bookshop short story competition. I am going to post something about this asap!
